The current period of analysis, from June to September 2022, coincides with the harvest and post-harvest period of the main growing season marked by a relatively good food availability and accessibility. For this period, approximately 1.2 million people are in high acute food insecurity (IPC Phases 3 or 4), of which approximately 51,000 are in Emergency (IPC Phase 4) and 1.1 million are in Crisis (IPC Phase 3).

During the projected period, from October to December 2022, the population in high acute food insecurity (IPC Phases 3 or 4) will likely increase to over 1.4 million people, of which 51,000 people will likely be in Emergency (IPC Phase 4) and 1.3 million in Crisis (IPC Phase 3).
