This report outlines the findings of the independent strategic mid-term review (MTR) of progress and learning from implementation of the IPC Global Strategic Programme (GSP) since early 2014. The mid-term review was undertaken from July 2016 to January 2017. 

The overall results and impact of the programme from inception to date were assessed to indentify adjustments in strategic direction to ensure the relevance of the project and achievement of results in the second half of the programme, to the end of 2018. The mid-term review addressed high-level strategic question on: (1) the relevance of IPC technical classification tools; (2) supporting IPC quality; (3) institutionalization and sustainability; and (4) governance and management of the IPC at the global level.
