The Sistema de Integración Centroamericano (SICA) has been officially invited to become member of the IPC Steering Committee. Its membership was formalized during the IPC Steering Committee meeting held in Rome on October 3rd. In this meeting, the General Secretary of the SICA was represented by the director of the PRESANCA II project, Ms Ana Patricia Palma.

In the last year, PRESANCA supported IPC activities in Central America. PRESANCA is also taking part in the Technical Working Group for the development of protocols for Chronic Food Insecurity Analysis.
