IPC EVENTS

The IPC Level 1 Training aims at enabling participants to:
1. Explain and describe the IPC approach and value for decision support
2. Actively engage in IPC Analysis
3. Proceed with “IPC Analyst” Certification Process

The IPC Acute Analysis is led on a regular basis after each main assessment, as well as upon needs (e.g. after a shock or disaster). During the Analysis, the food insecurity situation is determined by analysing a range of outcomes based on international standards including food consumption levels, livelihoods changes, nutritional status, and mortality. These are triangulated with several contributing factors (food availability, access, utilization and stability, vulnerability and hazards) and analysed within local contexts.
