Background and Purpose
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) produces a wide range of information products -over 20 distinct types - designed to address the diverse needs of its six distinct audiences. The IPC currently produces a total of 21 information products, each varying in frequency, content, and target audiences. In the IPC Communication Strategy 2023-26, all IPC products have been catalogued and categorized to ensure a targeted and effective communications approach.
Information Product Categories:
To better understand and identify each product has been categorised. Each category is designed to address the specific needs and comprehension levels of different audiences, ensuring that the right message reaches the right people in the most impactful way. This strategy also seeks to establish a clear identity for the IPC products by tailoring communication materials to meet the unique needs of each audience. By doing so, it guarantees the successful dissemination of information and maximises the impact of IPC communications. Ultimately, this approach ensures that all stakeholders—from technical experts to the public—are well-informed and empowered to act.
