IPC EVENTS

The IPC Chronic Food Insecurity Analysis approach and tools were launched and rolled out in June-August 2014, and altogether eight chronic food insecurity analyses were planned for the period between September 2014 and January 2015.

The results of the IPC-Chronic Lessons Learning Workshop, to be held on 25-27 February, will be discussed at the IPC-Chronic Working Group IV International Meeting, from the 2nd to the 4th of March 2015. In particular, the lessons learned exercise will serve as the basis for revisions and improvements of IPC Chronic v1.0 tools and procedures, as well as for the development of a Compendium of field-based Best Practices of IPC Chronic Analysis.

The IPC-Chronic Working Group Meeting will be attended by technical experts from the different IPC global partners' agencies (FAO, WFP, FEWSNET, Save the Children and EC-JRC) and from other institutions, including the ICFI, FANTA-USAID, SICA-PRESANCA, and the World Bank.
