The Cadre Harmonisé (CH) Technical Committee Meeting was held on 20-21 June 2014 in Ndjamena, Chad, following the restricted meeting of the Regional System for the Prevention and Management of Food Crises (PREGEC) on the preparation of the 2014-2015 agro-pastoral season.

The Technical Committee Meeting was attended by CH members from the following institutions: ACF, CILSS, FAO, FEWS NET, IPC Global Support Unit, JRC/EC, Save the Children, and WFP.

The main topics covered during the meeting included:

• Organization of the CH training of trainers, which will take place on 18-22 August 2014 in Niamey, Niger. The main objective of the workshop will be to train CILSS/AGRHYMET and CH partner agencies staff to be deployed in the next cycle of CH analysis, later this year.
• Inclusion of four new countries (Benin, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, and Sierra Leone) in the CH process.
• Discussion on the finalization of the Manual and brochure on CH.
• Discussion on the organization of the next cycle of CH analysis in October/November 2014.

During the meeting the IPC-CH Regional Advisor for West Africa made a presentation on the roll out process of the IPC Chronic in Asia, ECA, Southern Africa and Latin America, to inform the CH Technical Committee on latest IPC developments.
