Update of the 11th Cycle of Analysis

In December 2015, the 11th cycle of IPC analysis concluded that 1,787,560 people were in humanitarian phases (phase 3 & 4 IPC). An update of the last IPC Analysis was conducted in December 2015 and cover the period from August to December 2016. 


According to the analysis results, 2,008,856 people are in Crisis and Emergency (IPC phase 3 & 4 IPC), corresponding to 40% of the total population and including 1,879,827 people in rural areas, 37% of the rural population and 129 028 people in Bangui or 15% of the population of Bangui. 


Overall, the situation has improved across the country, hence the need of coupling humanitarian assistance for the population in phases 3 & 4 with resilience and recovery interventions for the populations currently experiencing minimal and stressed food insecurity (IPC Phase 1 & 2).
