East and Central Africa has been identified for the roll out of the IPC due to:
IPC activities are ongoing in Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, North Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
In the region, the IPC process is coordinated by the IPC Steering Committee of the Food Security and Nutrition Working Group (FSNWG) for East and central Africa.

IPC Training of Trainers (Tot) Course

The Regional Food Security and Nutrition Working Group (FSNWG)organized an IPC Training of Trainers (ToT) Course with the main objective of forming country level IPC trainers able to strengthen national capacities in IPC analysis through dedicated training exercises. The training event were opened to participants from Burundi, DRC, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Regional Technical Workshop for Central and Eastern Africa

Regional Food Security and Nutrition Working Group (FSNWG)
The purpose of the workshop was to gather technical food security professionals from Central and Eastern Africa to develop a regional ‘Food Security and Nutrition Situation Analysis’ using the IPC approach and building on the unique data collection and institutional settings in each country.
